Spread the love

When I was little, I often came to visit my Aunt Lena. In those days she sold all sorts of sweets and gum. I would come to her, and we would sell all this good stuff together.

Everything was fine, but one day I don’t know why I stole a pack of gum and candy from the counter. I said goodbye to her and left. Even as I walked, I couldn’t understand why I did it. But the most embarrassing thing was that she caught up with me and took away my gum. I don’t remember what she told me. I only remember the shame and resentment. As I burst into tears, I threw the candy away, too.

I couldn’t see Aunt Lena anymore, and I was always afraid she would tell my father what I had done. I still feel very ashamed and want to take it all back.
